Major residential work, properly controlled
An ambitious renovation is rarely just a sequence of trades. Existing structures must be understood, temporary works planned, new steel and masonry coordinated, and architectural details protected while the realities of an occupied site, restricted access or an older building are managed.
Jackson & Co Construction brings those elements together under one accountable delivery structure. We plan the programme, coordinate the team, manage commercial exposure and maintain senior oversight from the early stages through to handover.
The work we undertake
Our focus includes major rear, side and double-storey extensions; whole-house renovations; structural alterations and open-plan reconfiguration; specialist glazing and external envelope packages; high-specification internal finishes; and projects combining new construction with sensitive existing fabric.
We deliberately select projects where our level of planning, supervision and detail adds value. We are not structured for high-volume, low-touch work.
From design to delivery
The strongest projects are coordinated before work begins. Where possible, we engage during design or pre-construction to review buildability, sequencing, access, temporary works, procurement lead times and the relationship between the budget and the architectural brief.
Once on site, the same discipline continues through structured programming, trade coordination, cost tracking, quality control and clear communication with the client and consultant team.
Structural complexity without losing the design
Large openings, steel frames, level thresholds, roof geometry, bespoke joinery and junctions between old and new can define the success of an extension. They also create risk if they are considered in isolation.
Our experience across carpentry, formwork, reinforced concrete and complex residential delivery helps us interrogate the detail, coordinate specialists and keep the construction logic aligned with the intended architecture.
Working with architects
We value direct, practical collaboration with architects and consultants. Queries are raised early, decisions are documented and site information is treated with care. The goal is not to dilute the design; it is to find the clearest route to building it well.
We can join an established design team or help clients assemble the right professional team before tender.

Our core area covers Swindon and Wiltshire. We also deliver selected projects across Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, Bath, Bristol and the wider South West, subject to project scale, programme and fit.
